Application Procedure
- Review the enclosed
description of the Research
Fellowship in Gerontology Nursing (PDF 94 kb). If you have
any questions regarding the application procedure or your candidacy
for the Fellowship, please contact Dr. N. Edwards at 562-5800
ext. 8395 or by email nedwards@uottawa.ca.
- Write a 5-page (maximum)
narrative statement describing the congruence between your future
goals in nursing and the objectives of the Research Fellowship
in Gerontology Nursing. Please include your:
- career goals
- reasons for applying
for the Fellowship;
- plans and expectations
from the Fellowship;
- preferred focus
areas for research during the Fellowship;
- experience and
knowledge you will bring to the Fellowship.
- Submit a curriculum
vitae specifying all of the following: previous education, employment
history, professional affiliations and memberships, paper presentations,
research grants held or applied for, publications and participation
in seminars, workshops and conferences.
- Include one letter
of reference and names and contact information for two other referees.
- Submit a photocopy
of your current certificate of registration from the College of
Nurses of Ontario or other province.
- Arrange to have the
official transcripts of your undergraduate and graduate degrees
sent directly to Dr. Nancy Edwards.

Submitting an application
Your application, including
a cover letter, your narrative statement, and your curriculum vitae
