Conference registration is $160 (Canadian) per person and $100 for students.

Limited student support is available and those who wish to apply for support should do so before March 31. In your application for support, please state clearly what your research program is, in what way MFPS is relevant to your research, and whether you have access to other funds. Priority will be given to students who do not have access to other funding for travel.

There will be a special student session of short presentations, and students who wish to apply to speak should notify the local organizers.

Banquet: On the evening of Saturday May 8 starting at 7pm there will be an optional banquet held at the excellent restaurant of Le Cordon Bleu cooking school. The cost of the banquet is is $70 per person.

Reception: On the evening of Thursday May 6 there will be a reception at Jazzy Restaurant from 6pm to 8pm. Jazzy is located on level 1 of the University Centre (UCU on the University of Ottawa Maps page).

Restaurants and Accommodations

Blocks of rooms have been reserved at a special conference rate in the Novotel, the Quality Hotel and in the University of Ottawa Residences. If you wish to book at the special rate please see details below. The cut off date for special bookings is April 5 and so we encourage you to book before this deadline.

Conference Location and Maps

The conference will take place in Room 1150 of the new Desmarais Building (55 Laurier Ave. East).
