Panamerican Confederation of Tourism and Hotel Business Schools

Goal and objectives

The goals of the Confederation are:

a) To group all the institutions acknowledged for their tourism and hotel business education at the basic, intermediate, superior and posgraduate level, within the American continents and the Caribbean.

b) To investigate the educational availability and the labor demand, as well as the occupational profiles in the tourism and hotel business area.

c) To exchange innovating ideas and experiences, and to put them in practice with each of the associated institutions.

d) To organize courses, seminars, round tables and congresses in order to become updated on specific subjects of common interest.

e) To support the promotion, edition and diffusion of textbooks related to tourism or hotel business.

f) To promote courses to update and improve the perfomance of teaching staff.

g) To stimulate and reward people who fulfill an outstanding professional work, granting them the Panamerican Gold Medal for the tourism merit.

h) To favor the rapprochement and exchange between professionals and similar Associations, therefore achieving a technological exchange.

CONFEDERACION PANAMERICANA DES ESCUELAS DE HOTELERIA Y TURISMO

El objecto de la Asociacion sera:

a) Agrupar a las instituciones de ensenanza turistica y hotelera de niveles basico, superior y postgrado del Continente Americano y el Caribe.

b) Investigar la oferta educativa y demanda laboral, asi como perfiles ocupacionales en las Areas Hotelera y Turistica.

c) Intercambial ideas y experiencias innovadoras para ponerlas en practica en cada institucion.

d) Realizar curson, seminarios, mesas redondas y congresos para actualizarse en temas espicificos de interes comun.

e) Apoyar la promocion y edicion de libros de texto sobre Turismo y Hoteleria, asi como su difusion.

f) Promover cursos de actualizacion para el mejoramiento del personal docente.

g) Estimular y premiar a quien se testaque dentro del ambito turistico, otorgando para tal efeto la Medalla de Oro Panamericana al merito turistico

h) Procurar el acercamiento e intercambio con profesionales y asociaciones similares para propiciar un intercambio tecnologico.

El presente conpendio, es un esfuerzo compartido entre todos nosotros.

Hemos tratado de hacer una presentación simple y homogénea, a fin de compartir información relativa a nuestras Instituciones ya que consideramos necesario el conocernos más y mejor.

Cualquier recomendación para superar lo aquí presentado, será bienvenida e implementada a la brevedad posible.

Una disculpa a los compañeros cuyas Instituciones no aparecen en este Directorio ya que no recibimos su información para incluirla.

The present is a shared effort among all of us.

We have been trying to make a simple homogeneous presentation in order to get the best information in relation to our institutions, as we consider very necessary to know each other more and better.

Any recommendation (or suggestion) to improve the above mentioned, will be welcome and included as soon as possible.

An excuse to all the mates whose institutions are not included in this directory, as we did not receive their information to include it in time.
