Project Workshop

Concluding Activities

The workshop ended on Day Three, but two activities had been scheduled for the fourth day (June 11). The group visited Aboriginal Tourism Canada (ATC) in the morning, where they learned how ATC could help them develop their tourism business. Since June 11 was the one-year anniversary of the Government's residential school apology, we visited Parliament grounds where we heard some of the speeches.

In the afternoon, we visited the Canadian Museum of Civilization, where we had a guided tour through the museum's Aboriginal exhibits including "First Peoples Hall," the "Grand Hall," and "From Time Immemorial - Tsimshian Prehistory."

Afterwards, it was time for last-minute tours and shopping before heading off on the four-day field trip.
